Never mind all that Hibs / Aston Vanilla malarkey.  No, it's on with the three diddier teams that I've chosen to follow.  Starting with Scarborough Athletic.  Yes, since my patronage was bestowed upon them, they've only gone and won their first ever FA Cup match!

Yup, the 14th August 2010 saw Boro beat Ryton 1-0, away from home.  A goal from skipper Graham Botham 14 minutes from time gave Boro their first ever FA Cup victory in a hard fought encounter against Northern League Ryton, in front of 280 people.  Wemberlee, here we come.

Up in Stirling, it all went horribly wrong after the Second Division championship flag was unfurled prior to kick off, as the Blue Brazil that is Cowdenbeath humped Stirling Albion 3-1.  820 people saw a 1-0 lead evaporate along with a sending off for Chris Aitken.

Back doon in Berwick, however, it was party central as Berwick Rangers went one better than Arbroath by putting 6 (yes, six goals) past Elgin City. 409 fans enjoyed Darren Gribbens hat-trick, before Elgin City got a couple of consolation goals, including a mystery penalty from an inept referee.  A few more days like that and Gribben (above) could be up for the coveted Irn Bru Ginger Boot Award!
