Art lovers are invited to one of the most popular events on Edinburgh’s Arts Calendar – the Art Friends of St
Columba’s Hospice Exhibition.
This year’s exhibition, which is now in its 24th year, will be held from 3 – 5
June 2010 at the Freemasons’ Hall on George Street.

Around 100 professional artists will be exhibiting paintings, jewellery and sculpture at the event, which will
be on sale to help raise essential funds for St Columba’s Hospice. Works by well known artists will be on
display, including Margaret Ballantyne, Peter Bourne RSW, John Brown RSW, Chris Bushe RSW, Helga Chart RSW, Stephanie Dees RSW, Ian McWhinnie, David Michie RSA and Jennifer Pettigrew.

The exhibition is organised by volunteers and has helped to raise over £300,000 for St Columba’s Hospice
since it started.

Paula Garrow, who is the chair of the Art Friends Committee said:
“The Art Friends exhibition is a great event as it caters for both the novice art buyer and the experienced
collector, and we pride ourselves on having original art for sale that’s affordable. We look forward to
welcoming old and new friends along to help make this our most successful year ever!”

Lesley Christie, Director of Fundraising of St Columba’s Hospice said:
“We are delighted to be involved with the Art Friends Exhibition and are looking forward to welcoming
both art aficionados and novices along this year. The support and enthusiasm of the volunteers who
organise this event year after year is incredible and we can’t thank them enough for all their hard work in
putting the exhibition together.”

from 3 – 5 June 2010. Opening times are: Thursday June 3rd and Friday June 4th: 11am ‐ 7pm; Saturday June
